About

My name is Yarely Ramirez, and I am a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist. I obtained my bachelor's of sciences in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas in Austin in 2017. After graduation, I became an SLP-A in order to get more experience in the field. I then returned to school, and I was part of the inaugural CSD program at Baylor University through their online program. I received a Master of Sciences in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University in 2021. I am currently a Clinical Lead at a private practice in Houston, TX. My role as a clinical lead is to mentor and provide guidance to SLPs in the assessment and treatment of patients with an AAC and the bilingual population. My areas of expertise are Augmentative Communication Disorders, Pediatric Language Disorders and Speech Sound Disorders in Spanish and English. My career goal is to break the stigma of using an AAC as a mode of communication in the Hispanic/Latino Community.
