About

Alma M. Partida is a bilingual and bicultural school-based Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in AAC. She graduated from San Jose State and received focalized training in AAC. She currently practices as an SLP and AAC consultant in Northern California with preschool and early elementary-aged students. She is also a clinical supervisor at CSU-Monterey Bay. Alma manages the Instagram accounts @AACForYouandMe and @DiverseAAC. Alma is the owner/Founder of Con Alma Speech Therapy and co-founder of Bilingue AAC.

In this session, participants will explore evidence-based strategies for integrating AAC into home environments. Topics will include busting AAC myths for bilingual users, implementing AAC in daily routines, and empowering family roles in decision-making. Participants will also review practical tools and intervention models to support family-centered AAC practices and promote sustainability. This course is registered as Content Area 2 with ASHA.
