Looking Beyond the Sound: What Is the Mouth Telling Us? Understanding Potential Underlying Motor and Myofunctional Challenges
Speech sound production involves more than phoneme accuracy. This introductory course explores various subsystems for speech motor control and oral structure and function. Participants will learn to screen for atypical speech motor movements, compensatory articulatory patterns, and potential structural and functional concerns which may need an interdisciplinary referral.
