Speaker
Dr. Shannon Muela holds an SLPD from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. With over 9 years of experience working with young students in the schools, Dr. Shannon Muela has a passion for supporting students with feeding and swallowing disorders and their families. She completed her doctoral research investigation on school-based feeding and swallowing therapy and hopes to be a catalyst for change to improve outcomes for students and their caregivers.
Disclosure: 2017-2026 - Employed as a full-time district SLP with Coachella Valley Unified School District. For the 2026-2027 school year (i.e., beginning 07/29/2026), I will be employed as a full-time district SLP with Palm Springs Unified School District.
